In harmony with the site’s context, the design of the open-air playground for the new kindergarten and childcare center aspires to establish a naturalistic and playful environment for the children. Drawing inspiration from a nearby creek and its alluvial vegetation, the playscape is molded to mirror transposed river dynamics. Utilizing natural materials such as gravel, sand, soil, and wood, artificial alluvial islands take shape, adorned with willows, poplars, and hornbeams. Play equipment, including swings, hammocks, and playhouses, is crafted from natural robinia wood to seamlessly integrate with the overall naturalistic design. The inclusion of a playful water feature allows children to engage with the element of water in an interactive manner.
