Soil is more than just a surface —it is a crucial support for life on Earth! It is not just vital; it is a fascinating world waiting to be (re)discovered.
Lausanne Jardin 2019 presented a chance to explore the many processes and relationships embedded within soil, and Soutènement de Saint-Paul was the perfect location for this exploration. We proposed creating a living image on the wall that evolves throughout the exhibition. The canvas, made from linen and enriched with a print from natural dye, captures imprints of leaves, fruits, and organic objects. These imprints set in motion processes activated by natural rainfall. The project is like a living form of painting.
